1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Whispus, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the application.

2. Description of Service

Whispus is a voice dictation application for macOS that transcribes speech to text and enhances that text using artificial intelligence. The application is designed to work locally on your device.

3. License

Beta Version (free)

During the beta period, Whispus is provided free of charge with all its features. This license grants you the right to use the application for personal and professional purposes.

Final Version (paid)

After the beta period, Whispus will be available as a one-time purchase. The purchase grants you a perpetual license for personal or professional use on an unlimited number of Macs you own.

Restrictions

You are not permitted to:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the application
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the code
  • Remove or modify copyright notices
  • Use the application for illegal purposes
  • Resell or sublicense the application

4. System Requirements

To use Whispus, you must have:

  • A Mac with Apple Silicon chip (M1, M2, M3, or M4)
  • macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
  • At least 2 GB of available disk space
  • A working microphone

5. Third-Party Services

Whispus may use third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) for text enhancement. Use of these services is subject to their own terms of service. You are responsible for providing your own API keys if required.

6. Intellectual Property

Whispus, its source code, design, and documentation are protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved.

The content you create with Whispus (transcriptions, enhanced texts) belongs entirely to you.

7. Limitation of Liability

Whispus is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the application will be error-free or uninterrupted.

In no event shall we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the application.

Transcription accuracy depends on many factors (microphone quality, accent, background noise). We recommend always verifying transcribed content before critical use.

8. Updates

We may release updates to fix bugs, improve performance, or add features. During the beta period, updates are automatic and free.

9. Termination

You may stop using Whispus at any time by uninstalling the application. We reserve the right to revoke your license in case of violation of these terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and the update date will be changed. Your continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or execution of these terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, France.
